Dongmyo is one of the popular Folk Flea Market in Seoul, the flea market is happening only on weekend, the place is crowded with elderly who’s looking for cheap clothes!
The direction is pretty easy, just take the subway Line 6 to Dongmyo Station, exit #3.
This place is good for someone who wanted to walk around and experience Seoul a little bit more because it’s an interesting place to explore. As you enter the flea market, you’ll heard people shouting ‘Chon Won’ which means 1,000krw! Yes, they’re shouting ‘Everything for 1,000krw!’
With a mountain full of clothes, everything is 1,000krw, if you wonder whether these are new clothes, for the price 1,000krw, you won’t be expecting new clothes right? Some are in bad shape or with stains, but if you dig further, you’ll find some clothes are in good condition (just like a new one)!
For me, this place is definitely made famous by ‘Infinity Challenge’, if you’re a fans, you know what I mean, this is the place where Jong Hyung Don & G-Dragon filmed the Dongmyo version of ‘Crooked’.
Since this is not my first time in Hongdae, I only have one intention which is to visit the Twosome+ Studio cafe opened by Teddy (2NE1’s producer). It’s a bit tough to look for this place and it’s quite a distance from the station exit. But if you managed to find Hongik University, then the cafe is just right next to the university!
I got the Teddy’s Scone Set (1 Scone + Teddy’s hand dripped coffee), okay, I admit it’s a scam, the coffee is not hand dripped personally by Teddy, he’s probably hiding somewhere in the cafe and producing 2NE1’s new songs!
After the cafe, you can shop around Hongdae, and probably visit the popular StyleNanda shop which is also located in Hongdae district.
After Hongdae, went for early dinner and get ready to go for Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain.
Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain is located somewhere along Han River, but the location is quite a distance from subway station and it can be a bit tricky.
The Rainbow Fountain only available from April – October.
