A good 2.5 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur, perfect resort city for a weekend getaway with your family or friends, is called Bukit Gambang Resort City.
Developed with the concept of ‘One Location Multiple Attractions’, you will find TWO resorts namely Arabian Bay Resort & Carribean Bay Resort with ONE upcoming Global Heritage Villas and TWO theme parks namely Safari Park & Water Park.
Bukit Gambang Resort City is the proud host of the “Best Water Park in Malaysia” awarded by Malaysian Association of Amusement Themepark and Family Attractions (MAATFA).
Arabian Bay Resort
Arabian Bay Resort is just one left turn right after the entrance of Bukit Gambang Resort City, don’t worry about car park because there is a big parking space available.
Family Deluxe Room (2 Bedrooms)
The resort that I stayed in is Arabian Bay Resort with a Family Deluxe Room consists of 2 bedrooms, the room is really spacious with a living room and a balcony and it’s very clean.
Both room comes with 2 single beds which I personally think can accommodate 3-4 peoples, 1 extra pillow is available which you will find it in the cabinet.
Each room has their very own bathroom so you don’t have to worry about taking a long queue for shower. Hairdryer is available upon request from the reception.
A very nice view from our room is the swimming pool.
Arabian Coffee House
The coffee house is located right next to the lobby is where you will be having your breakfast.
The lunch I had here is really good and I really recommend the Tomyam Soup.
Mee Goreng Mamak
Tomyam Soup
Nasi Goreng Kampung with Satay
Nasi Kukus with Ayam Goreng
Tram to Safari & Water Park from Arabian Bay Resort
The tram station is next to the lobby entrance and right in front of the coffee house, you can take a FREE RIDE to the Safari & Water park from the resort.
Bukti Gambang Safari Park
Just a 10 minutes ride you will find yourself at the entrance of Safari Park, the Water Park entrance is just right next to the Safari Park.
The Safari Park is the largest in Malaysia and second largest in Southeast Asia!
Park includes:
- First White Lions in Malaysia
- Largest drive-through Wild Savannah featuring free – roaming animals in their naturalistic habitats
- All-weather covered walkway and baby pram friendly
- 2 Park Zones: Walking Zone and Tram Drive-through Zone
- Day and night park districts
After the entrance, you will required to walk a bit to the Simba Hill Plaza is where you can take another TRAM RIDE to enter the Wild Savannah Safari to see the animals from eye to eye!
Wild Savannah
The tram station is at the side of Simba Hill Plaza, if you don’t want to take the tram, you can take the escalator up to second floor and walk your way to the entrance of Wild Savannah.
A friendly ostrich probably a friend to the famous Chickaboo will come to say hi if you wave to her!
Forest Land
About 45-1 hour Tram ride in Wild Savannah, you can also explore the other park where you can see birds, bears, monkeys, fishes and reptiles!
Eye to eye to different type of birds and monkeys, they have the very cute little marmoset as well!
The park is really huge and you will enjoy walking around this area and experience feeding different animals.
The lazy bump black bear is waiting for visitors to feed them.
There are several animal shows available too, but do watch out for the timetable to not missed out any of your favourite shows!
You can watch the video here:
Dining with White Simba (White Lions)
Can you imagine the experience of looking at the white lion and lioness eye to eye just standing in front of you?
The restaurant is located at Simba Hill, just 1 floor above from the Simba Hill Plaza. Please do go to the restaurant as early as possible to reserved yourself a good table!
I’m just lucky enough to have this lion came and clear her thirsty throat right next to me!
Night Jungle
Right after the dinner, you can revisit the park for night jungle where you can see the animals which are active only at night, but too bad I didn’t make it to the Night Jungle walk and I kind of regret!
Some of the animals you will be able to see at Night Jungle, can you recognized this ‘Hakuna Matata’ animal from Lion King?
The Fire Show
Bukit Gambang Water Park
I wasn’t a fan of water park so I give a miss but family with kids will definitely loves the rides in the water park!
Bukit Gambang Active Academy
Other than the Safari Park & Water Park, there is also Active Academy where you can play ATV, paint balls, archery & flying fox!

Global Heritage Villas
I think this will definitely be one of the highlight in the near future once it’s fully complete and start operating.
I get the honour to visit some of the village which is San Francisco Villas & Amsterdam Villas.

I’ve stayed here before for a couple of nights. It’s been so long but I remember that this place is huge.
So refreshing! We have to keep planning such getaways time and again..
Wow this is such a fun place for a short vacation with the family.
The room seem like spacious, I so regret to say that I never go the Safari park even I have my uni life at Gambang.
